ABOUT US

The Susquehanna Valley Vintage Sports Car Club (SVVSCC) mission is to foster the enthusiastic acquisition, preservation, and restoration of vintage sports-touring cars of various marques and origins. It is our intent to promote interest in sports cars from an era gone by: sports-touring cars that are over twenty-five years of age and have a place in automotive history.

SVVSCC organizes vintage sports car shows and driving events to give members a chance to meet with others with the same goals and interests. The club strives to preserve a part of America's sports car club origins when several area car buffs would gather at a local establishment for Sunday morning coffee and car talk. These informal meetings usually adjourned to an afternoon drive in the country. SVVSCC is a forum for active participation of vintage sports cars.

From September to April SVVSCC holds monthly membership meetings. Currently, these meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at the Antique Auto Club of America (AACA) Library, located at 501 West Governor Road (Route322), Hershey, Pennsylvania 17033. Meeting dates and times are posted on our club calendar. From May through August, in lieu of the monthly general membership meetings, we have planned drives, tours, cruise-ins or other social activities.

In 2000, SVVSCC became the parent organization for the Meeting of the Marques, a renowned British car show held every September. This is one of the club's premier events, a popular choice judged car show and car display.

In 2002, SVVSCC brought back the pageantry of a historic hillclimb with the Hershey Vintage Hillclimb. It is a high quality event for vintage racing participants and the spectator enthusiasts alike. This show has expanded to welcome sports and sports-touring cars of all world wide makes.
